One thing to know about Great Falls residents – we don’t mind hopping in our cars and going for a drive. Why? Because Great Falls is perfectly situated to be almost equidistant from anything you could want (and we mean anything). A mere two to four-hour drive will land you in dream destinations like Glacier National Park, booming Bozeman, Flathead Lake, Whitefish, Yellowstone National Park… even Canada! And Montana’s capital city, Helena, the Bob Marshall Wilderness, Showdown Mountain and the Lewis and Clark National Forest are only one to two hours away.
Road-tripping has never been so rewarding.
With any outdoor adventure comes inherent risk. Make sure you wander with a buddy, always have a map/GPS, and are prepared for the weather and terrain. View our gear guide to make sure you’ve got what you need.
