The Arts & Culture Hub of the American West

Be a part of a community that celebrates creativity

The arts are engrained in Great Falls’ identity and community (hence the “art” in “Basecamp of Art and Adventure”). Our cultural amenities cover a wide range of areas such as music (in the form of laid-back concerts or our very own symphony), dance, theater, and any artistic medium you could wish for. Great Falls is also home to the C.M. Russell Museum, officially coined as “The Art and Soul of the American West.”

Museums and Galleries

Behold our beautifully curated galleries and museums! There are a lot to choose from (and all are must-visits, if you ask us). Though Great Falls’ studios and galleries display many forms and eras of art, one could argue that we’re best known for showcasing American Western art.

You can also take a step back in history by visiting Great Falls’ museums filled with artifacts of the American West. Whether you’re in search of a cultural yet educational experience for the kids or you’re a history buff yourself, the impeccably documented and maintained collections in Great Falls will keep you captivated for hours.

Live Music

In Great Falls, dinner and a movie is not your only date night option – far from it, actually. There’s nothing quite like watching your fellow community members shine on stage – whether that be in the form of live dance, the Great Falls Symphony, open mic night, or a play at the theater. Step up your culture game and enjoy the myriad of live performance options in Great Falls:

The Newberry recently announced a brand new rockin’ entertainment venue in downtown Great Falls – think multiple bars, a stage, dance floor, balcony and more live music than ever before.

Release Your Inner Artist

More of a performer than a spectator? Great Falls is your stage. Maybe you’d like to shoot your shot and steal the show at open mic night. Or you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and take an adult ceramics class. You might even be reminiscing on that musical theater class you took in high school and find yourself auditioning for a play. Whatever your fancy, Great Falls is a safe place to put yourself out there and let your inner star shine.
