Construction is underway on a new riverfront housing development in Great Falls, bringing additional apartments and townhomes to a community working to expand its housing choices.
The Bay View development broke ground October 6 along the Missouri River. According to KRTV, the project will combine apartment residences with single-story townhomes, creating two different housing types on the same property. Apartment construction is beginning this fall, with the townhome phase expected to follow in the spring. Both phases are currently expected to be completed by spring 2028.
The townhomes are being designed with accessibility in mind. That feature, together with the development’s riverfront location, could appeal to a range of residents—from working professionals and relocating families to people seeking a lower-maintenance home.
Housing availability matters to talent attraction. People considering a job or a return to Great Falls also need to picture where and how they will live. Projects offering different home styles and settings help strengthen that picture while adding supply to the local market.
The development joins other housing projects moving forward around Great Falls. Together, those investments show continued work to accommodate new residents and give current residents more options.
