Great Falls is gaining more pathways for people who want to study, build a professional career, and put down roots in Montana.
Touro University leaders recently shared plans to expand beyond the institution’s existing College of Osteopathic Medicine. According to KRTV, that growth includes a planned law school, additional campus land, and possible future programs serving fields such as nursing, mental health counseling, and physician-assistant education.
Touro expects to welcome its first Great Falls law students in August 2027. The planned part-time program would require students to attend in person one day each week, with the remainder of their work completed independently. That flexible structure could make legal education more accessible to working adults and others who cannot step away from their existing responsibilities for a traditional full-time program.
The university is also under contract for 13.5 acres across 26th Street from its current campus. University leaders said they are exploring further collaborations and housing options to support the institution’s growth.
For Great Falls, the expansion adds another layer to a growing education and workforce ecosystem. It gives prospective students and professionals more reasons to consider the community while supporting Montana’s need for healthcare, legal, and other skilled practitioners.
